SCRIPTURE:
Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold on to the confession of our hope without wavering, since He who promised is faithful.
DEVOTIONAL:
We have confessed Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and in this confession, we gain hope. It’s almost as though an exchange has taken place, that at the moment we confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, He infuses our lives with more hope. We are telling God and the world that we know God is our only hope, and in making this confession, He becomes all the hope we could ever need. We can hold onto this hope, knowing it is firm and secure, because God has made this promise to us, and we know He is faithful.
PRAYER:
God, I choose to put my hope in You. In my own strength, my hope can waver, but I know that I don’t have to rely on my own strength. I choose to believe that my hope is firm and secure because You are firm and secure, and my hope is in You. Thank You for being my hope, and for being faithful to every promise You have made.
