Join us for Eggstravaganza: Because Easter is About So Much More Than Just Eggs

Posted on April 11, 2019 by Justin Serrano

Have you ever wondered what 56,000 stuffed Easter eggs splayed out across a field looks like? Maybe not, but now you’re probably curious. Let me tell you, it is an amazing sight to behold. The eggs are bright and colorful, just waiting to be picked up and taken home. The field is sectioned off, so little kids won’t have to battle with big kids to gather their stash. We even have a special area sectioned off for kids who may need a little extra help gathering their eggs, or who feel a little overwhelmed at big events.

Last year, my kids decided they had enough candy in the cupboard at home, and the eggs weren’t really calling to them, so while all the other kids scrambled for eggs, my kids jumped in nearly empty bounce houses. See, at Harvest’s Eggstravaganza, your kids can also play in bounce houses, have their faces painted, put on temporary tattoos, and play fun games like Gaga Ball or 9 Square. And don’t worry if you don’t know how to play the games, someone will be on standby to explain. There will also be hot dogs, water, and refreshing Otter Pops available to keep your hunger and thirst in check during all the festivities. Photographers will be in attendance as well to help capture special moments for families who attend.

You may be asking, why on earth a church would do all of this? You may also be asking, what you’d have to pay in order to join in on all of the fun? The answer to that question is: NOTHING! Eggstravaganza is a free event Harvest puts on to love our city. At Harvest, we believe that Easter should be a celebration. We celebrate our Savior’s love for us by turning around and loving others. We love taking every opportunity to share this love with others because we believe it is a life-changing kind of love. We believe that everyONE matters, and we go to crazy lengths to show it because our Savior went to crazy lengths to show His love for us.

So, if you’re intrigued by any of this, please join us! We’d love to share our eggs and our hot dogs with you, but more than that, we’d love to share our Savior’s love with you!
