I am not saying that egg hunts and church services are bad, but if that is how we celebrate one of the most sovereign acts of God then don’t you think that we’re doing the bare minimum? God doesn’t deserve the bare minimum, even if he never sent his son to die for us, he would deserve the most precious worship. So, how do we celebrate beyond the bare minimum?
God has been speaking love and sovereignty all throughout eternity. Creating the universe in seven days, the human race being the last thing he created. He loves us so much he created us in his image. And he celebrated our existence by giving us a vital gift, free will. Free will to do anything at anytime. What does free will have to do with celebrating Jesus?

Well just the fact of even believing in God is a celebration. See, God loves a heart that is placed correctly (I Samuel 16:7). So, one way we can celebrate is to put our hearts in the right place to glorify God, not just to make ourselves look good on Sunday.
